My best friend, Leah, had her 2nd child (Kirsty) this past May. I created the following quilt for her precious daughter! I also created a crayon book for the older brother but you’ll get that in a later post.
This quilt is super easy! The most time-consuming part is clipping all the edges. I started to think I could use the same design and change the applique designs for a boy’s quilt (maybe different types of balls or cars and trucks). Enjoy!
Here’s everything I need to start sewing:
Look how I laid the batting between the layers before sewing:
Just a note…sew your pieces in a chain to make it a little easier. Keep your thread going and line up all of the squares. Then cut the thread so you have each square:

I had a ton of fun making this quilt and it only took about 5 hours (not including the clipping). BTW, CONGRATS LEAH AND NATE!! Kirsty is precious!
