I am sorry I haven’t posted in so long… It’s been a busy summer and I’m about to start my first year teaching so it’s only going to get busier But, I am going to try to post a couple times a month for the rest of the year. You’ll have to help keep me accountable!

My grandma called me a few weeks ago and asked if I had started my Christmas projects (she knows me well – I won’t finish in time if I don’t start now!) Of course, I hadn’t but she got me pumped – so I started a Halloween and Christmas pillow (those will be coming in later posts, I haven’t quite finished them.) But, I also went to her house and worked on some hand applique and finished another Christmas wall-hanging I have been trying to finish for awhile. So, I didn’t quite make “Christmas in July” but I did make it before the Olympics were over!! Hopefully, I can finish a few more things while I watch…

I got the pattern at the Houston Quilt Show – I’ll be going again this year with my best friend, Mom & Grandma – it’s becoming a tradition! Here’s a picture:
